Somewhere between the E and O of SEO I lost my mojo, but I’m back in true Life’s A Beacham fashion with a restaurant review about a little place called Luke’s Lobster. This post needed to be written, not just for the food porn you’re about to enjoy (some of my best yet) but because of the extremely kind efforts on Luke’s Lobster’s part to make sure we had a delicious yet safe, gluten-free lobster roll. One of my Christmas presents from Sir Brett was a cooking class at The Wooden Spoon- a kitchenwares shop on Clark street that also offers incredible classes where you cook a three course meal and sip on wines paired with each dish. I will admit when I heard what we were doing I was nervous- a cooking class for someone strictly gluten-free? With people who may have not even heard of the allergy? Brett clearly did his research (shout-out to Amanda!) because this experience was not only delicious, but it was 100% gluten-free friendly- keep reading to find out how!
Hello friends! It’s been a bit since I last posted on Life’s A Beacham- but what can I say, the holidays happened and now we’re in 2017! One of my resolutions for the new year is to focus on bringing you all fun and inspiring content on a weekly basis. Last year I definitely accomplished a ton: the blog got an Instagram, a Facebook page, and I joined two blogging communities here in Chi-city that have really opened me up to some amazing opportunities, and lots of new friends! 2016 was a great year for Life’s A Beacham, but this year is the year of the blog! Having seen these all over instagram I finally went and got my hands on four flavors of the Square Bar by Square Organics to test out for you all- here are my thoughts!
With two years in the books, Brett and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary with some good eats! Fun fact about me- I keep a running log of places I find in Chicago with gluten-free options so that I can review them as soon as I have the opportunity. So when it came time to pick a place to eat for our Friday night celebration, I handed Brett the list and told him to surprise me. On Friday night at 8:00pm sharp our uber rolled up to Hub 51, and we eagerly headed inside.
