Jersey Mike’s Gluten Free Sandwich- Review

February 27, 2018

When I first heard that Jersey Mike’s was coming out with a gluten-free sandwich, I rolled my eyes. “Great,” I thought, “Another gluten-free item that will be gone in a couple of months due to cross contamination. Plus it’s probably super crumbly.”

I can blame it on hanger, but this mindset has proven me right all too often lately. So as I opened my Find Me GF App to see if there were any reviews, I was shockingly, and pleasantly surprised to find an announcement on the app for the very same sandwich. If the app was promoting it, I knew I had to put this infamous new sandwich to the test. So I threw on some pants and dragged a friend with me to checkout this sub, and see what it was all about! As promised on the Lifesabeacham instagram, I have made this into a Q&A style post, so take a look at the questions below to find out what I thought of the Jersey Mike’s Gluten-Free Sandwich! This post needed to be written, not just for the food porn you’re about to enjoy (some of my best yet) but because of the extremely kind efforts on Luke’s Lobster’s part to make sure we had a delicious yet safe, gluten-free lobster roll. So, no more excuses, you know the drill- if you’re dying to see my first ever gluten-free lobster roll, keep scrolling to checkout my Luke’s Lobster Chicago review! Continue Reading

September 29, 2016

With two years in the books, Brett and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary with some good eats! Fun fact about me- I keep a running log of places I find in Chicago with gluten-free options so that I can review them as soon as I have the opportunity. So when it came time to pick a place to eat for our Friday night celebration, I handed Brett the list and told him to surprise me. On Friday night at 8:00pm sharp our uber rolled up to Hub 51, and we eagerly headed inside.  Continue Reading

Review: Sunda Chicago- River North

September 23, 2016

Last Saturday night my friend Jackie and I had a night out on the town. Not knowing where to go for dinner, but eager to find a new place that did gluten-free right, we settled upon Sunda: A New-Asian restaurant that has an extensive cross-cultural menu, and an even more impressive gluten-free menu. So we strapped on our heels and headed to River North; what awaited us was worth the adventure! Continue Reading
