Welcome Friends! As you can probably tell from the title of this post, this past weekend was a very new and different experience for me- I attended the 2017 Chicago Beer Classic. And yes, I know what you’re thinking, “Al, in what world would a gluten-free blogger attend a beer festival” but friends- this time was different, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Spring is cominggg! Ok not really- anyone who lives in Chicago knows that this weather is a mean trick played on us by the weather gods to keep us all from flying south for the winter. I mean come on- the forecast shows snow for Saturday, yet this week we hit a high of 68 degrees. However- embracing the warm weather while it’s here, I’ve embarked on a massive closet clean out- and I have to say it’s been wildly successful. My soul, wallet, and sanity are all exhaling with relief and I’m going to share with you my top 10 reasons why you should clean out your closet right now! Or maybe this weekend… you feel me? Let’s do this!
Valentine’s Day is coming up! For those of you looking to spice up your day- I’ve concocted a quick, healthy Valentines’s day breakfast that is gluten-free & paleo! This waffle recipe, paired with a fancy homemade latte is perfect for surprising your significant other- or for treating your fabulous self on the day of L.O.V.E.
One of my Christmas presents from Sir Brett was a cooking class at The Wooden Spoon- a kitchenwares shop on Clark street that also offers incredible classes where you cook a three course meal and sip on wines paired with each dish. I will admit when I heard what we were doing I was nervous- a cooking class for someone strictly gluten-free? With people who may have not even heard of the allergy? Brett clearly did his research (shout-out to Amanda!) because this experience was not only delicious, but it was 100% gluten-free friendly- keep reading to find out how!
Hello friends! It’s been a bit since I last posted on Life’s A Beacham- but what can I say, the holidays happened and now we’re in 2017! One of my resolutions for the new year is to focus on bringing you all fun and inspiring content on a weekly basis. Last year I definitely accomplished a ton: the blog got an Instagram, a Facebook page, and I joined two blogging communities here in Chi-city that have really opened me up to some amazing opportunities, and lots of new friends! 2016 was a great year for Life’s A Beacham, but this year is the year of the blog! So, I want to know what you want to see more of here- more recipes? If so, what kind? Dinner, lunch, to-go brekkie, you tell me? If it’s more life events, Top 10 product lists, advice, money blogs, tell me! I want to write what you most enjoy reading so please please comment down below! Ok now that I’ve covered that- let’s get into the cool experience I had last week with KitchFix and Lulafit’s event Barre & Brunch:
