If you’ve been following my posts you’ll know that after a week in Destin, FL Brett and I decided to extend our layover in Nashville, TN. So last minute- we booked an Air BnB and committed to two extra nights in hopes of soaking up a little honkey tonk. Little did we know Southwest Air had other plans for us…
This summer I had the privilege of vacationing in Destin, FL with Brett and his family. While Gluten-free travel can sometimes be a bear, I know that one of the best things I do to prepare for any vacation, is to start my research about a week ahead of time. My hope is that whoever reads this post can add this info to their future travel tips, making the gluten-free lifestyle that much less stressful. So- without further adieu, here is how I successfully handled a week of gluten-free travel and dining in Destin!
Review: Tanoshii Sushi Mike’s -West Loop
July 6, 2016I love Chicago in the summertime, because there’s always something going on! A couple week’s back was Taste of Randolph, a street fest in the West Loop that featured live music, food, drinks, and local artists. Before hitting up the fest, a few friends and I decided to try Tanoshii Sushi Mike’s, a sushi place just down the street that caters to dietary restrictions and serves up the most creative sushi around… Just ask Mike!
On Thursday night I had my family and friends up to my apartment for a mid-week get together. We had a couple of drinks at my place and then walked over to Basil Leaf Cafe, in Lincoln Park. If you’re gluten-free (or just a pasta enthusiast) and in the mood for some home cooked Italian food, the is THE place to go! Wait till you see this food porn.
